Ready to go...

If you're reading this then you probably own a V-Rod. If that's the case that at some point you're going to have to change the battery, even if you have a good battery tender. If you've done this before you'll know how much of a pain it is to swap the battery out and it's something you really only want to do a couple of times a decade at best.

Thankfully this inexpensive gel battery may save you the headache of too many swaps. It comes complete with mounting bolts and several spacers which are perfect for the V Rod. Unfortunately it does have the square lug nuts so you have to fiddle a little to get them inside the terminals and then get them aligned. My last (acid) battery had molded nuts so you just screwed the bolts in with no hassle. Really this is a minor quibble and didn't add to much to the process. I tested the battery upon arrival and it was showing 12.4v which is perfect but I did tender the bike overnight just to be sure it was fully charged. The nex t morning my tender was showing green and I was ready to go. So no pre-charging of acid and it's maintenance-free.

Great battery which fits the V Rod perfectly and it's at a good price for a gel battery. Recommended.
