Stunning cover - doesn't fit V-Rods! Can be made to work.

Please note - this review is predominently for folks who have a v-rod. The cover itself is heavy duty and huge and the supplied h/w and instructions seems more than thorough...

But whilst the ad I bought this cover off didn't SPECIFCIALLY* state that it doesn't fit a V-Rod, it did state it fit all HD twins. It doesn't.

I see ads for this part # all the time stating it DOES fit the v-rod range too. But a cursory call to kuryakyn confirmed it's not v-rod supported (and boy were they rude!). So in terms of product this is excellent.

If you want it to fit a v-rod you'll have to fabricate a bracket and force it in place. I love the look on my bike, and actually love the fact it took some jigging to get it on there. It blends into the fins and gone is the 'blister' horn cover that graces ALL stock v-rods.

It's not rocket science to get it to fit and I'm surprised Kuryakyn haven't bothered to make a custom bracket for V-rod owners.

Recommended highly if it's the look you're after and you can use a dremel or welding torch.

Sharp Looking Cover

This cover installs easily, and looks sharp. I wouldn't mind if no one else bought one since I don't like my bike looking like everyone else's, but I've seen to that.

Good Product Easy Instal

Product was a worthwhile purchase and was an easy install on 09 Nightrain. My only complaint was the profile of the acorn nuts; they are small and I would have liked to see larger ones to show off the chrome. I was able to use my stock nut to secure the horn cover, so there was actualy only one nut I would have liked to see with a bigger chrome profile. Overall, quality product, looks great, and would highly recommend.
